One trend which seems to come back each year is a statement vest. Fur vests are such a statement piece and I love how cozy they are. Since my husband and I were going to be out and about in the city for the day I wanted to keep this look chic yet simple. This statement vest is soo soft and I like that the back of it is knit. I paired this look with a black long-sleeve v-neck pullover and my favorite pair of JCrew high waisted jeans.
While we're on the subject of jeans, I have such a hard time finding a good pair of jeans that fit. Most jeans that I try on are either way too tight in the calves or fit fine in the calves but then have a gap in the waist area. These jeans by JCrew are seriously amazing! They are beautiful skinny jeans that are not only have a high-waist, but also provide a nice stretch. The actual material of the denim is really nice (not too thin like most jean material out there nowadays). The style of the jeans are cropped so they are perfect to tuck into boots or wear them with flats. These are my go-to jeans in my closet right now and I seriously want to buy them in more colors!
