Product Review: Two Faced Perfect Flush Blush

The Two Faced Perfect Flush Blush in Candy Glow (retails at Sephora for $30.00 for 0.19 oz) has become one of my new favorite blushes to use! This blush can be described as rose pink shimmer, soft coral pink, and peachy pink shimmer.

The blush comes in three amazing swatches, you can either use all of them together and apply or use one shade at a time! You could even use the color as a highlight.  The only thing I would say is that you would have to use a small brush in order to apply only one of the shades. But, it's like getting three blushes for the price of one so that's fine by me!

The packaging is so cute! The blush comes in a heart shaped box.

Another closer look at the blush....

As a personal taste, I love the shimmery finishes - it reminds me of wearing a highlighter on top of a blush.

I love how the color looks on my skin tone!

Since it's been super cold over on the east coast, my favorite accessory to combat the cold is a faux fur vest! This faux fur vest is from this cute boutique in Philadelphia called Elle Lauri and is becoming one of my favorite places to shop in the city!  Elle Lauri is an affordable lifestyle women's fashion brand will very trendy clothing!

H&M Sparkle & Shine Necklace

I saw this necklace at H&M this past Tuesday as I was trying to find a necklace that had a lot of sparkle and bling for the New Years Eve party (which was Great Gatsby themed) and just HAD to have this necklace the instant I saw it.

The necklace is full of sparkles and catches the light in such a perfect way.  It is also big and covers a lot of area.  I am actually not too much of a fan of H&M jewelry but I really liked this piece!

Product Review: Naked Palette 3

Over the holidays, one of the gifts I received was the Naked Palette 3 by Urban Decay. When I initially saw this palette on display, I knew I just HAD to have it.  You could say it was love at first sight!  The beauty world has and still is obsessing over this palette at the moment - and I know why!

The packaging is made of tin material which I wasn't too fond of at first but I've warmed up to it.  The package clicks shut, is durable, and much more easier to keep clean.

In comparison to Naked 1 & Naked 2, the Naked 3 has more rose tones and comes with 12 brand new shades!  The colors are beautiful and I am just imagining so many different looks that I can create from a simple look to a smokey eye.  The Naked Palette 3 comes with a synthetic dual-ended eyeshadow brush which is of good quality and the bristles are soft.  The kit also contains a fairly large mirror on the inside.

New Years Wishes & Outfit Ideas!

I am very happy to say that my website has been up and running for a year. This year has been filled with many new experiences and lots of learning! None of this would have been possible without any of my readers and I just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to you all! On an exciting note, there will be many posts and a variety of new projects coming next year!

Since New Years is only hours away and many of us probably still don't know what to wear tonight, there is still time to find that perfect outfit to bring in the New Year! Here are a couple of tips and top fashion trends for New Years:

A faux fur vest (gilet) has been very popular for the winter.  It is SUCH a statement piece and is so versatile.  It is also very animal friendly as it is not real fur.  Throw a faux fur vest over a blouse paired with black skinny jeans or over a dress to make a statement!  Don't be afraid to experiment with textures and styles.

Go for a dress that is comfortable.  You don't want to be pulling down your dress every 5 minutes.  Most likely you'll be in your dress for hours so make sure to choose something comfortable.  Consider a silhouette that is appropriate for your figure, for example, an A-line dress (my personal favorite) or empire waist!

BCBG Darra Faux Leather A-Line Dress $160.80

Sequins and Sparkle are still in for 2013!  Try a Little Black Dress (LBD) that's full of pizazz!  Or choose a dress with embellishments to make your dress pop! You can also pair a LBD with bright colored pumps and metallic accessories. Pumps that feature feathers, sparkles, or embellishments can dress up any outfit, even the simplest outfits!

Express Sequined Fit and Flare Dress $76.80

For sophisticated style you can't go wrong with a form-fitting sheath. Bring a sense of style to a sheath dress with gold or silver jewelry or a bright statement necklace.

BCBG Evelyn Blocked Sheath Dress $148.80

A bright red lace dress is also perfect.  Sophisticated, yet sexy, you can't go wrong with a lace red that makes quite an impact!

Express Lace Open Back Sheath Dress $58.80

I hope you all enjoy these outfit ideas and have a wonderful New Years!
