PRODUCT REVIEW: Lancome Energie De Vie Dullness Relief & Energy Recharge Daily Cream

I LOVE Lancome’s Energie De Vie Dullness Relief & Energy Recharge Daily cream which retails for $55 (here) at Sephora for a 1.7oz container. This product was being offered for Sephora’s 100 point gifts. I saw the Lancome brand and knew I had to get my hands on this product.

This cream is an energizing cream which relieves dullness and revitalizes the skin.  It is inspired by the latest Chinese beauty rituals. This cream is a daily moisturizing, lightweight, yet nourishing texture that melts into skin to soften, refine, and boost radiance.  When you put the cream on your skin it gives your skin a feeling of being energized along with a healthy looking-glow.

According to Lancôme, after 4 weeks of use:

78% of women felt their pores looked reduced

90% of women felt their skin looked more radiant

This cream is so light-weight and absorbs very nicely into your skin.
It also has a strong scent – however, I like it because it smells calming.  I apply the cream by massaging the cream into my skin in the morning and again at night. Right after applying the cream I could feel my skin just felt smooth and soft.  I will definitely be purchasing another bottle after I’ve gone through this sample!

Fall Leaves and Brown Riding Boots

It’s been a while since I updated the blog. For those of you who know me on a personal basis – you know I’ve been super busy with a lot of exciting moving pieces in my life!

Fall-Brown-Boots.JPG

I absolutely adore the fall season.  Fall season growing up in Connecticut was always beautiful.  When I was younger, my family and I would take road trips from Connecticut to Vermont and New Hampshrie just to see the beauty of nature and the changing leaves.  All the leaves now have almost fallen off the trees and are orange in nature, it’s so pretty!

Another thing that I love this time of year are boots!! I always loved to stick to black boots since they look fancier, however, I am in LOVE with these brown boots (they’re actually a “Scotch” color). They are the perfect color for the season and give a little more of a casual look and feel. These ridding boots are awesome (get them here).

What I love about them is that they have a zipper, ankle strap detail, and also have a bit of a stretchy material in case your calves are wide but not wide enough to go up a size.  They are SUPER comfortable and I’ve gotten so many compliments from them!

Oh and, of course, my big puffy jacket was a must have. With the wind chill it felt about 25 degrees out!

Four Fall Fashion Trends to Try Now

As Sunday marks the last day of summer, what a better way to celebrate the fall season with 4 Fall Fashion Trends to Try Now!

Bold Blue Hues

Bold blue hues are a must have for the fall season, especially the color Cobalt.  Make a statement with a cobalt blue dress or wear blue in small pieces such as a peplum top.

Sparkling Red Anarkali Outfit

Happy Friday Loves! Last weekend I attended a baby shower in which I decided to pull out my bright red anarkali outfit one last time before the weather got cold.  This outfit is truly stunning with its high neck, volume, and silver details.

The anarkali suit has silver details around the neck area and on the bottom.  I cannot even begin to express my love for anarkali suits.  They are SOO comfortable! Not only are they comfortable but very fashionable and elegant.  I also kept the jewelry simple by wearing statement earrings, a couple of bangles, and my favorite silver Bulova watch.

I decided to keep my hair simple since i really wanted the anarkali outfit to stand out.  I created a middle part and pulled my hair into a side ponytail.  Then I curled my hair and twisted it into a chignon.  Viola! It's that simple!

Zara 2013 Fall Collection for August and September

I was pleasantly surprised at the Zara 2013 Fall Collection which is currently in stores and online.  The collection is made up of both sophisticated and chic pieces.  The pieces are very easy to throw together and there's pieces for all occasions!

I absolutely adore the Dress with Embroidered Detail above.  It's absolutely perfect for a night out or a party!

The collection also contains a great mix of fall colors and summer pastels. I love how Zara paired the pink, grey, and white combination together.

One of my other favorite pieces from the collection is this Front Gathered Top With Contrasting detail.  What I love about this blouse is not only the color but the leather details on the neck and sleeve - also blue hues are trending for Fall 2013 (keep posted for my upcoming issue of fall trends)!

The black and white combination is still a huge trend into fall. Both of these colors will never go out of style, you can't go wrong in a couple of investment pieces - blouses, tops, pants, and coats.

Will any of you be investing in fall pieces from Zara? I know I have my eye on a couple of pieces!
