Yesterday my husband and I are hosted Thanksgiving at our home in Philadelphia! I love spending time with family and friends during the holiday season and look forward to this every year!  Each year the night before Thanksgiving I watch my parents clean the turkey.  Then on Thursday we wake up early and my mom and I will cook all morning for the big feast - it's a tradition that I love and look forward to each year.

After Thanksgiving we all know comes Black Friday. I used to get up early to get to the stores as early as 5am but now with everything accessible online there is no need to fight the crowds! With the holidays right around the corner, I like to shop for pieces that I can dress up for a holiday party but can also wear after the holidays through winter.  I look for sweaters that aren't your stand pullovers and have some sort of detail. This peplum sweater from LOFT was a great find and is soo soft and warm! 

On another note, I am definitely counting down the days until Thanksgiving as it is one of my favorite holidays. I love spending time with my family and can't wait!

The Cutest Tulle Hem Sweater

I would say that my style has evolved over time.  I love mixing neutrals with the unexpected - take for instance this pretty tulle hem sweater from JCrew. This tulle hem sweater has the perfect mix of fashion and comfort with a pop of the unexpected with the tulle on the sweater!

I do feel that some of the JCrew sweaters run a little short so the tulle hem does create the illusion of a longer sweater.

The hubby and I grabbed lunch in Center City Philadelphia and did some shopping (one of my favorite activities!).  After lunch we ended up walking through the City Hall area. Over the years Philadelphia has gone through so many changes (in a good way!) and the city is doing so much to make Philadelphia an even more prettier place than it already is! City Hall is definitely worth checking out and there is always something happening over there!

This pink pindot flute blouse from Ann Taylor has been on major repeat lately. I wore this look last week to lunch with my hubby in the city and received alot of compliments on it! The thing I love about this blouse is that it is so lightweight and the blush color goes with just about everything! This top comes in two colors pink and black - but the pink is just beautiful and so feminine!
