I saw this necklace at H&M this past Tuesday as I was trying to find a necklace that had a lot of sparkle and bling for the New Years Eve party (which was Great Gatsby themed) and just HAD to have this necklace the instant I saw it.
The necklace is full of sparkles and catches the light in such a perfect way. It is also big and covers a lot of area. I am actually not too much of a fan of H&M jewelry but I really liked this piece!
Over the holidays, one of the gifts I received was the Naked Palette 3 by Urban Decay. When I initially saw this palette on display, I knew I just HAD to have it. You could say it was love at first sight! The beauty world has and still is obsessing over this palette at the moment - and I know why!
The packaging is made of tin material which I wasn't too fond of at first but I've warmed up to it. The package clicks shut, is durable, and much more easier to keep clean.
In comparison to Naked 1 & Naked 2, the Naked 3 has more rose tones and comes with 12 brand new shades! The colors are beautiful and I am just imagining so many different looks that I can create from a simple look to a smokey eye. The Naked Palette 3 comes with a synthetic dual-ended eyeshadow brush which is of good quality and the bristles are soft. The kit also contains a fairly large mirror on the inside.

Here are the swatches - the colors are gorgeous! The colors are also pigmented which means you can really experiment with blending and coupling colours together. I'll definitely be using this palette a lot! Will any of you be purchasing this palette?

A faux fur vest (gilet) has been very popular for the winter. It is SUCH a statement piece and is so versatile. It is also very animal friendly as it is not real fur. Throw a faux fur vest over a blouse paired with black skinny jeans or over a dress to make a statement! Don't be afraid to experiment with textures and styles.
Go for a dress that is comfortable. You don't want to be pulling down your dress every 5 minutes. Most likely you'll be in your dress for hours so make sure to choose something comfortable. Consider a silhouette that is appropriate for your figure, for example, an A-line dress (my personal favorite) or empire waist!

Sequins and Sparkle are still in for 2013! Try a Little Black Dress (LBD) that's full of pizazz! Or choose a dress with embellishments to make your dress pop! I LOVE Lancome’s Energie De Vie Dullness Relief & Energy Recharge Daily cream which retails for $55 (here) at Sephora for a 1.7oz container. This product was being offered for Sephora’s 100 point gifts. I saw the Lancome brand and knew I had to get my hands on this product.
This cream is an energizing cream which relieves dullness and revitalizes the skin. It is inspired by the latest Chinese beauty rituals. This cream is a daily moisturizing, lightweight, yet nourishing texture that melts into skin to soften, refine, and boost radiance. When you put the cream on your skin it gives your skin a feeling of being energized along with a healthy looking-glow.

90% of women felt their skin looked more radiant
This cream is so light-weight and absorbs very nicely into your skin. It also has a strong scent – however, I like it because it smells calming. I apply the cream by massaging the cream into my skin in the morning and again at night. Right after applying the cream I could feel my skin just felt smooth and soft. I will definitely be purchasing another bottle after I’ve gone through this sample!
It’s been a while since I updated the blog. For those of you who know me on a personal basis – you know I’ve been super busy with a lot of exciting moving pieces in my life!
I absolutely adore the fall season. Fall season growing up in Connecticut was always beautiful. When I was younger, my family and I would take road trips from Connecticut to Vermont and New Hampshrie just to see the beauty of nature and the changing leaves. All the leaves now have almost fallen off the trees and are orange in nature, it’s so pretty!
Another thing that I love this time of year are boots!! I always loved to stick to black boots since they look fancier, however, I am in LOVE with these brown boots (they’re actually a “Scotch” color). They are the perfect color for the season and give a little more of a casual look and feel. These ridding boots are awesome (get them here).
What I love about them is that they have a zipper, ankle strap detail, and also have a bit of a stretchy material in case your calves are wide but not wide enough to go up a size. They are SUPER comfortable and I’ve gotten so many compliments from them!
Oh and, of course, my big puffy jacket was a must have. With the wind chill it felt about 25 degrees out!
