Goodbye Summer and Hello Fall! Today's the first day it actually feels like fall - yesterday was a whooping 90 degrees here in Philadelphia! Talk about summer weather. As we are well into the end of September I've started to get my fall wardrobe together. One item that I love having different colors and styles is a trench jacket. A trench coat can instantly dress up an outfit and can pull the whole look together.

One of the days during the workweek I look forward to is Casual Friday. The company that I work for has business casual every day except for Fridays in which you can wear casual work wear. Here’s a look I wore last Friday. This blouse is perfect for work as it is simple and has minimal detailing. I paired this look with skinny jeans and my new JCrew flats. I am loving the JCrew suede flats for fall because they are sooo trending right now! I like that the flats are super comfortable and don’t rub against your heel. They also have the cutest tassels which adds an extra special touch. I really wish they also had them in a leopard color - I would have bought them in a heartbeat!

Over the weekend I was in Connecticut visiting my parents (if you are new to reading my blog one fact about me is that I was born and raised in Connecticut but I now live in Philadelphia). One activity we do as a family each year is to go apple picking. We definitely lucked out last weekend as my parents informed me that the apple season had just started and it was going to be a beautiful sunny day! We always do our apple picking at Johnny Appleseed Farm in Ellington, Connecticut and always have such a great time! Johnny Appleseed Farm always has such a great variety of apples - the first photo shows which apples were available for picking on the day we went!

What to Wear To a Fall Wedding

This year has been another year of weddings! We have had a total of six weddings this year - five of which are done with and one of which is coming up towards the end of the month. I'm not going to lie though.. I love attending weddings! There is something about weddings that is just magical. Last weekend we were in Baltimore, Maryland for a wedding reception. The venue was at Corradetti Glassblowing Studio & Gallery. It was such cute and rustic place and had artwork inside. We had a great time!

I had ordered this dress last minute and was crossing my fingers that it would fit since it might or might not get delivered on time. The dress came in literally the day before we had to leave (I love the fact that ASOS has two day shipping) and I was so happy that it fit PERFECTLY! What I love about the dress is that this color looks GORGEOUS with my skin tone! I also like that the cold shoulder detail gives the dress a modern edge. The dress has pleats in it and the silky material makes this dress quite perfect for a dressy occasion. I wanted to keep the neckline simple so I opted out of wearing a necklace but I did pair the look with statement stud earrings.

Now that we are in the middle of September I am starting to feel the temperature dip here in Philadelphia. I am not going to lie, while I absolutely love warm weather, summer dresses, shorts, and sandals I am ready to start wearing cozy knit sweaters! Right now is definitely one of my favorite times of the year. One of my recent purchases for the fall season was this super cozy knit sweater from Express. What I love about this top it pairs perfectly with distressed jeans and heels making this outfit absolutely perfect for a night out. I also loveee the cute  bows that tie at the end of the sleeves which I feel takes this knit sweater to the next level!
