Birthday Celebrations and a Gold Statement Skirt

December is always a special month for me not only because of the holiday season, but because of my birthday! For my birthday, my husband took me to one of the restaurants I’ve been meaning to go to for a while called Vernick.  It’s located in Center City Philadelphia (the downtown area for those of you who aren’t familiar). The food was AMAZING and I can’t wait to go back! You can check out my YELP review here.  My husband also took me to King of Prussia mall and spoiled me with wonderful gifts – he’s honestly the best! On Saturday we celebrated my birthday with our friends which was so much fun! It was definitely a memorable and special birthday!

For my birthday celebrations Saturday night, I paired this gold tweed skirt with a simple long sleeve shirt and added a glamorous asymmetrical teardrop necklace.  What drew me to the skirt was that it’s made from a thick tweed material with an inverted-pleat and also has pockets! (Seriously, who doesn't love pockets?!) The material of the dress is absolutely perfect for cold weather.  I really wanted the skirt and necklace to stand out so I paired the look with a plain black long-sleeve shirt. I added my Saint Laurent bag which was the perfect touch.

Holiday Outfit for that Party Perfect Look

The holiday season is among us and in full swing. What’s not to love about the holidays? It’s the time to spend with family, friends, and loved ones and of course, attending parties! I always find myself looking for holiday outfits right after Thanksgiving and stocking up before sizes run out!

This jacquard flare dress in this beautiful emerald color from LOFT caught my eye.  This flare dress is sweater material and is super comfortable. I kept the accessories to a minimum as I wanted the print of the outfit to stand out.  I paired this look with my Saint Laurent purse and simple black booties from Nine West. These booties are another one of my favorite investments of the fall and winter season.  I’ve got them constantly on repeat!

Happy Monday! Wrap blouses have been one of my staple go-to blouses this season.  One of my favorite Black Friday purchases was this beautiful eggplant colored wrap blouse from Ann Taylor.  I paired this wrap blouse with ankle pants and black pumps for a simple work look.

Helloooo Friday! I love Friday's because not only it's casual Friday at work but because it's the kickoff to a fabulous weekend! (Might I add that every weekend is fabulous just as long as you get away from the office! Don't you agree?)

I like wearing outfits to work on Friday's that I can easily transform from day to night. I can't express how much I adore this blouse. It has a wrap style in the front and is long in the back. Pair this blouse with a statement necklace and heels to dress it up even more!
